JLL Warwick Street
Property specialists JLL have recently injected some new life into one of the floors at their London Headquarters based in the capitals busy West End. Affinity Flooring were approached by Amadeus Design & Building to supply & install new floor and wall coverings across nearly 1500 sqm of office space.
In addition to the challenges that the team faced over restricted deliveries (with the central location), out of hours working was also necessary to ensure minimal disruption to the day to day running of JLL’s business. With over 1000 sqm of Shaws Contract carpet tiles to be fitted to a ‘live’ office this was a task that needed critical planning and execution.
The new office area utilised several different ranges of Shaw’s carpet tiles and our install team completed the swap out from the existing finish over several evenings. Using a lift & shift method our expert installers were able to raise individual workstations off the ground and install the new product without the need disconnect computers or clear desk surfaces! This resulted in the JLL team returning to work the following day with everything as they left it with the exception of a brand new carpet.
In addition to the open plan work space and individual meeting rooms, the re-design of this floor included a brand new breakout area. Karndean vinyl tiles were utilised to give the area a crisp contrast to the office space. Around 150 sqm of Country Oak timber effect tiles were installed in a herringbone pattern with the demarcation of the communal dining area being achieved with a darker square Karndean tile.
To finish off our timber team installed a Havwoods engineered Oak board to a feature wall within the breakout area. The timber cladding framed a window with views over looking London’s busy Regent Street.
By having a strong working relationship with the site team from Amadeus we were able to deliver this project and leave a client extremely happy with their new space.
“To deliver a project with minimal disruption to the client requires perfect planning and execution. In this case timings were critical not flexible.” Craig Anstey – Sales Director
