BW: Workplace Experts

BW is a leading fit out and refurbishment expert. For 16 years, the BW brand has been recognised throughout the UK for delivering extraordinary work with uncompromised quality.

Following an impressive rebrand and a lease expiry, BW decided to move offices. BW are known for their creative results and as the new office was set to be a working showroom; it was crucial to demonstrate their ability to reflect their brand, culture and personality. As the team had worked with Affinity on many of their large-scale projects, they invited us to help them achieve this goal.

Working with the BW design team, we undertook an extensive flooring review of the new workspace and managed to value engineer several options; finding cost-effective options with no sacrifice to quality or durability.

The centirepiece of the project is found in the main reception, where BW looked at their customers’ journey into the workplace. On leaving the main elevators, they wanted to create a compelling first impression. To accomplish this, we provided a series of beautiful large-format porcelain tiles, which open up the space and provide a seamless, contemporary aesthetic. Using coloured grout lines on the wider sections of tile, we created a mosaic effect that draws the eye towards the futuristic reception desking.

This theme is developed throughout the rest of the workplace. Using Interface carpet tiles and Bolon in grey and steel tones, splashes of blue are employed to establish the BW brand. These materials are efficient sound absorbers, ensuring that the 60+ BW staff are able to work comfortably in their agile working environment.

Rob Fadden, Affinity MD and project leader said, “This was the first hard flooring project we’ve worked on with BW and they were delighted with the results. We’re confident their clients will think so too.”
