When you think of waste removal, you don’t automatically imagine efficiency; innovation and humour, but this is just what the eco-friendly clearance specialist Any Junk offer. Established in 2004, they have now become the largest provider of junk and waste clearance in the UK.
After undergoing massive expansion, Any Junk relocated their HQ into a modernised office space and were looking to reflect this new environment in their flooring choices. At a series of design workshops, we discussed various flooring options that could be achieved in 2 weeks and on a strict budget.
In the main workspace and meeting rooms, we used Shaw carpet in neutral greys. These tactile carpet tiles blend with the exposed white ceiling and off-black pillars in creating a sleek, sophisticated space with excellent sound absorption.
It was important to capture Any Junk’s rugged character through the decor of the building and provide practical flooring solutions without compromising the aesthetics of the design. With this in mind, we used an LVT from Karndean on the upstairs breakout space. With a rustic timber effect plank, the space achieves the beautiful, natural feel of wood without the additional cost and maintenance.
We provided rugged brick slips for the stairwell and meeting room walls. This cost-effective cladding provides the authentic appearance of brick without expanding into the tight floorplan. The brick amplifies the facets of the exposed decor and helps to create a warm; modern and industrial ambience in the office space.
Craig Anstey, Project Manager said, “This was a very tight programme where working space was at a premium. The flexibility of our installation team was fundamental in getting this project delivered on time and on budget, resulting in another happy client.”
